The Standard handle materials were: Classic (Leather), Chestnut, Sambar Stag, and Micarta

These were one of the new models that came out near the time of BlackJack's demise. Because of this there are not a whole lot of them out there. Especially when you start breaking it down by the handle variations and such. In the past I had stated that the blade steel which was used on these was 1095. However according to former BlackJack CEO Mike Stewart the steel which was used on these was in fact 52-100. Mike went on to state that from about 1994 all the classics used 52-100 with exceptions being the TrailGuides which were done in A2, and the Chukkers which were done in 1095.

First up we have the standard Leather handled version.

Here we have another standard variation. The Micarta handled Woodsman.

Now here is an interesting specimen.  This looks like it would be the perfect user to me with the finger groove handle. The guard is bead blasted though I am not sure what material it is made out of. I would love to know more about this knife. I am sure this example is quite rare.

This is a lovely Walnut handled variation with nickel silver guard. BlackJack did a few of these with nickel silver guards and called them "Select" model's.

Here are two views of the 1997 DU knife. Ducks Unlimited celebrated it's 60th anniversary that year. Notice that the BlackJack blade  markings are not in the location they would normally be in on a Woodsman model.

Here is another example of the 1997 DU knife.  I believe this was a part of former BlackJack CEO Mike Stewarts collection at one time.

I don't have any info on this one. I can't but wonder if this was made with some left over cocobolo from the select project. It may have also been a special order or backdoor factory piece.

Here is a really nice example of a Woodsman on red stag. These were really stunning. Red stag is quite rare on BlackJack's as a whole. I believe there were less than 100 Woodsman models made in this material.

This lovely piece has both a nickel silver guard and a nickel silver butt cap. There were just ten of these made.
